Does Israel want another fight?

Post by Christopher Shilts »

If Jews want peace, this sure the hell isn't the way to get it:

And just incase anybody is told by the pro-Zionist media that this was provoked: https://twitter.com/EmirNader/status/15 ... 0589077504

Right wingers use violence to control and supress opposing views? Wild.

So you still buy into the left-right dichotomy?

Would a communist in the Soviet Union be considered a liberal or a conservative?
Does conservative mean right wing and liberal mean left?
What about people who are socially "liberal" and fiscally "conservative"?

I'm not entirely sure what your asking?

A communist definitionally is left wing, seeking to reduce human hierarchy by reducing the power one has over others by way of their economic prowess.

The soviet union on the whole was misguided to this end, considering their history of genocide, state propoganda, forced labor ect.

I know it might sound like a cop out but it really is this simple: states are antithetical to individual human freedoms. So to look at the Soviet union as a paragon of leftism is just intelectually dishonest.

My understanding has been that conservatives by definition seek to maintain the status quo. If you live under a monarchy, and you're a monarchist, that would make you a conservative. Likewise if you grew up in a socialist country and identify as a socialist, that would also make you a conservative. Likewise a member of the Chinese Communist Party in China would be considered a conservative, whereas a libertarian would be a radical.

I don't care for the left-right dichotomy partly for this reason. How can one countries conservative be another countries radical- and yet we claim conservatives are on the right of the political spectrum?

I dont take issue with anything you said there other than the last part. Its extremely confusing.

Libertarians are considered radicals anywhere in the world. They are left leaning. They are categorized by their inadhearence to authority.

Conservatives are almost always right leaning because they almost always differ to an authority, wether its God, the pope, the president, a general, your father, ect.

And yeah if i lived in my perfect world i would want to conserve it, even though i already know that my worldview is one that is differential to individuals personal choices rather than a strongman leader or made up sky wizard.

For example: northern europeans are some of the happiest people in the world and im sure they'd want to conserve the state theyve built, and i find that they are much much more liberal than any other country. So why would i adopt a world view where "thing is bad because stubborn people like it?"

Again, when deciding if i like something, i consider how it helps or hinders hierarchy. Not how it looks to the rest of the world, and not because my "team" says it must be.

I cant stress this enough: if you really believe that this thing you call the "left-right dichotomy" is inaccurate in anyway, please present your alternative in an academic space. You won't, but thats because im right on this.
