I really would like to hear back from my readers, if only to let me know I’m not yelling into the void.

I want the constitutional republic I was promised, not this “Our Democracy” nightmare we are living through.

See, you don't actually give a shit what your fellow citizens think, so why would anyone want to give you feedback?
You don't get to have both.

If that's true, why have I tried to solicit communications from people who think differently? Can I not espouse my views and have a conversation about them, just as you? You're free to submit a letter for publication on the main site anytime you'd like. The fact is, no-one has done so. Even the people at MARJDI (whom I detest) where invited to write in and declined to do so. It seems letters to the editor have fallen out of favor. Last month the Manistee News Advocate published 6 letters. I've been told by multiple people that their letters to the advocate never get published. This is why I started Manistee Speaks- to bypass censorship and establish an open dialogue between the people of Manistee County.
